  • The Tasmanian Outdoor Boat & Caravan Show is very excited to welcome new exhibitor 1300TASSOLAR on board for 2016!

1300TASSOLAR is a family owned and operated business operating state wide. Solar energy is the most reliable renewable source of energy nature provides us today, and when captured with a 1300tassolar system, can begin to power the lighting, appliances, and devices we use in our home every day. This energy can be instantly transferred to power, or stored by batteries housed with the system to continue to power your home even after the sun goes down. With solar energy you will only use supplied power from the grid as you need it, creating immediate savings. In addition, when you generate more power than you use, you can sell that power back to the grid for even more savings!

With great savings up for grabs, come in and talk to the 1300TASSOLAR team about how they can save you money.

    See you at the show!

  • The Electric Bike Lifestyle!

    0

Electric bikes, or ebikes, are becoming a big part of the landscape as people realise that cars in the city are uneconomical to drive and park, not very environmentally friendly, and are just not as much fun as rolling along on a bike!

Some people have shied away from bicycles over the years because they think bikes are hard to ride, or they are scared of the traffic, or they feel they are not fit enough. Other people have physical issues that make riding a normal two wheel bicycle difficult. They may have damaged knees, damaged hips, or have some other issue with their legs or back that make applying pressure to the pedals more challenging or uncomfortable.

Electric bikes provide the answer! E-bikes provide assistance to the pedal action by sensing that pedalling is occurring, or by having a throttle on the handlebars. This means that pedalling is easier or in some cases not necessary at all. Electric bikes are far less limited by battery than larger scooters or vehicles, and are surprisingly fast. Three wheeled bikes (tricycles or trikes) are as stable as any scooter and the motor gives them a much larger capacity for cargo. For some this makes them a better choice.

For others, the fact we have some electric bikes that can fold up and go in the boot of their car, make them very practical to get from the edges of the city where parking is free into town where they work.

Portable electric bikes also perfect for the Campervan and RV or 4WD enthusiast/explorers!

Come and check out Tas Electric Vehicles at the 2016 Tasmanian Boat & Caravan show to test ride their fantastic range of bikes!

We look forward to seeing you at the show!

  • Safety advice you can trust!

    0

MAST will once again be joining us at the Tasmanian Outdoor Boat & Caravan Show and as always have some very important information and advice for recreational boaters and kayakers..
Now that the days are getting shorter kayakers and recreational paddlers may be putting themselves at risk if they don’t have the correct lights attached to their kayak or ski. The regulations require an all round white light but just having a light on the stern of the boat may not be sufficient if it is blocked by the paddler when looking at the boat from in front.
MAST will have some great examples of kayak lights to suit any type of kayak or ski!
Come and talk to the MAST representatives about the servicing of inflatable life jackets, kayak lighting requirements, the recently released mooring survey or any other marine safety topic that you need information about.
We look forward to seeing you at the Silverdome!
